ARACHNOCULTURE E-Zine

ARACHNOCULTURE debuted in 2005 in print format. It was self-published by Michael Jacobi and seven issues were released over the course of two years. The response was overwhelmingly positive. However, producing the magazine was both extremely cost-prohibitive and labor intensive. Budget constraints made professional printing impossible, yet the goal was from the beginning to produce a high-quality product both in terms of content and production values. Therefore, skimping on number of pages or using a low-quality printing method was out of the question, and each issue was painstakingly printed at great expense by color laser printer, collated by hand, and then bound and trimmed at Kinko's. It was then inserted in a plastic bag and sealed in envelope for mailing. Coupled with the costs of posting these heavy copies with a high percentages going overseas, the magazine lost money quickly and the project could not be continued.

ARACHNOCULTURE will now be released in an electronic version and prior readers of the print version with paid subscriptions will soon have access to the online magazine, including all past issues and future releases, at no charge. A nominal fee for new readers will begin as soon as possible. Please revisit this page and watch your email for announcement of the NEW ARACHNOCULTURE E-ZINE!
